MEET STEVE JOHNSON
Midwest Basketball Academy Personal Basketball Trainer

Coach Johnson has extensive experience in his profession with 36 years total and 22 years being a head basketball coach at Concord, Batesville and Elkhart Memorial here in Indiana. This would also include many summer programs, coaching clinics, and instructional camps. His overall coaching record, at the high school level, is 370 wins and 274 losses.

His basketball teaching/coaching methods range from the basics for the youngest grammar school child to the aspiring Division I college athlete. All students of the game are approached the same way; to help them have a better understanding of the game while increasing the skill level in their age group.

He follows an "up-beat" teaching approach with constant reminders and techniques to improve the desired skill. Being a classroom biology teacher, the philosophy of "the smallest part to the whole" is a definite carry-over in the great game of basketball. A player must understand the importance of the position of the feet as to the final release of the shot. Right in tune with MBA's outstanding philosophy, Coach Johnson will take an individual and custom fit the drills, fundamentals and work outs to help the youngster to reach a higher level. He is committed to high standards and works tirelessly to bring out the best in all players.
